Show and tell: Exhibition design’ features Pentagram partner Marina Willer, followed by a panel discussion with other leading figures from the world of exhibition design including Dinah Casson and .Anthony Pearson of Clay Interactive.

Willer’s portfolio embraces identity design (for Tate and architect Richard Rogers), film-making (Red Trees) and exhibition design. She has recently masterminded several popular, visually rich exhibitions, including the Barbican’s ‘Mangasia: Wonderlands of Asian Comics’, an exhibition by her compatriot João Farkas (see Eye 95) at London’s Brazilian embassy plus ‘Stanley Kubrick: The Exhibition’ (see Eye 99) and ‘Ferrari: Under the Skin’, both at the Design Museum.

‘Show and tell’ will also include a short presentation from Anthony Pearson, creative director of multidisciplinary design studio Clay.

Pearson’s talk will focus on Clay’s approach to designing digital experiences for Museums. Pearson recently oversaw the design of eighteen interactive exhibits across four new galleries at the National Maritime Museum and designed and directed a series of short films for I object, Ian Hislop’s search for dissent at the British Museum. Clay has designed technically advanced digital exhibits for many other cultural institutions such as the British Library, the Imperial War Museums, the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum and the V&A.

In addition, Casson Mann co-founder Dinah Casson will give a short presentation. Casson, with her partner Roger Mann, has been involved in some of the most interesting and complex museum installations, both in the UK and overseas, over the past three and a half decades. Running parallel to her practice she has been a committed teacher, assessor and lecturer, and she is currently finishing a book.

The evening will end with a panel discussion chaired by former Eye creative director (now special consultant) Nick Bell, also known for his exhibition design.

The evening will begin with a free glass of Prosecco and there will be a bar in the interval as well as the chance to browse bargain back issues of Eye magazine.
